Leadership

At Veon Law Firm, P.A. we recognize that we have been priveleged to study law. The rights and responsibilities that grow from human interaction are at the core of that discipline. While the practice of law can be financially rewarding, as professionals we cannot neglect the significance of the people or legal principles that are at stake in those instances offering no monetary compensation. We place a level of importance on community service, service to the profession and pro bono efforts we believe to be commensurate with how we wish to live as individuals.

Paricipation in organizations such as the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute and local bar associations, provides us with the opportunity to join with the resources and energy of other lawyers and firms nationwide who likewise see the importance of improving ourselves, our profession and our world through service. We are constantly searching for those opportunities where a common goal transcends business competition. In 2000, Mr. Veon created the DRI Young Lawyers National Pro Bono Project which serves as a clearing house, matching the nation's finest lawyers to situations where legal counsel is necessary, but funds are not available. Through a relationship with the Arkansas Public Defender Commission we take the opportunity to improve our trial skills, work with the local judiciary and take part in a level of service that cannot be attained in most firms representing defendants in civil litigation.
