Veon Appointed as Faculty for the Louisiana State University School of Law/Trial Advocacy Training Program

Robert T. Veon of Veon Law Firm, PA has been appointed as faculty to the Louisiana State University School of Law Trial Advocacy Training Program. The LSU School of Law Trial Advocacy Training Program is offered at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center to LSU Law School students from August 6 - 8, 2012. Faculty consists of trial lawyers and trial judges from throughout the United States. The program has been rated one of the best in the country.

 

Veon Appointed as Faculty for the NITA Gulf Coast Deposition Skills Training Course

Mr. Veon also recently served as faculty at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Gulf Coast Deposition Skills Training Course held in New Orleans, Louisiana from April 25 – 27, 2012. NITA faculty consist of judges, law professors and practicing attorneys from across the country. NITA, the educational arm of the American Bar Association, dedicates its efforts to the training and development of skilled, ethical advocates to improve the adversarial justice system. NITA was formed with significant support from the American College of Trial Lawyers; the American Board of Trial Advocates; Associates of Trial Lawyers of America; International Society of Barristers and, the ABA Section of Litigation.

 

Veon Selected as Faculty for the 2007 International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy

Robert T. Veon has been honored by having been selected by the IADC to serve as faculty at the 2007 IADC Trial Academy to be held at Stanford Law School July 27 to August 4, 2007. The IADC is an international organization of corporate and private counsel formed in 1920. Membership in the organization is by invitation only and limited to those who have passed an intensive peer review process. The IADC trial academy, in its 35th year, is one of the oldest and most respected programs of its kind. The faculty consists of "leading defense trial lawyers selected on a national basis from different regions of the country."

 

England Selected by Texas Monthly Magazine as Rising Star

Texas Monthly Magazine's Annual Lawyers Edition includes the Top Guns and Rising Stars of the Texas legal community. Founding partner Austin England has been honored by his peers and Texas Monthly Magazine in being selected for this top honor among Texas attorneys.

Veon Appointed to Arkansas Cancer Research Center Foundation Board of Directors

In March of 2004 the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Cancer Research Center Foundation Board of Directors voted to include Robert T. Veon as a member of the board. The foundation supports the Arkansas Cancer Research Center, a world prominent cancer research facility.

 

Veon Presents Seminar:
"Complex Medicine for Trial Lawyers"

Robert T. Veon Co-Chaired a seminar presented by The Defense Research Institute's Trial Tactics and Techniques Committee entitled, "Complex Medicine for Trial Lawyers". The seminar was held on November 13 and 14, 2003 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel in Miami, Florida. Mr. Veon Co-chaired the seminar with Mark Solheim of Larson & King in St. Paul, Minnesota. The seminar was designed to instruct and advise defense trial attorneys, corporate counsel and claim professionals in the most current diagnostic and medical treatment options. Attendees received training in the use of this information at trial in the form of exhibits and communicating with the jury.
